| Abstract | The snake eel A. spinicauda was described from a single specimen from Tobago by Norman (1922). The sp. is valid; however the genus is referred to the synonymy of Ophichthus O. zonatus Howell Rivero (1932) from deep water off Cuba is a synonym of spinicauda. A specimen from Trinidad and another from Isla de Margarita from a depth not over 50 to 60 fms are discussed. || ABSTRACT AUTHORS: Authors |
