| Abstract | The serranid fish Perca aberrans Poey, type sp. of Liopropoma Gill, is redescribed on the basis of a specimen from the Bahama Islands. Chorististium Gill is placed in synonymy and the spp. of the expanded genus are listed. Bathyanthias roseus Gunther is removed from Liopropoma and is referred to the genus Pikea Steindachner. JEBOEHLKIA gladifer is described from the Caribbean Sea and apparently is closely related to Liopropoma from which it differs most in lacking a lateral line. || ABSTRACT AUTHORS: Author |
